Changing Minds is a specialist therapy service offering a full range of NICE recommended evidence based psychological assessments and treatments.  All our therapists have a minimum of three years post qualification experience working in the NHS, and are fully insured to practice privately. Together, we are a team of clinical psychologists, counsellors and CBT therapists who have extensive experience treating a range of problems, including:

  • Depression
  • Low self esteem
  • Low confidence
  • Anxiety and worry
  • Panic Attacks
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Work Related Stress
  • Relationship problems

Treatments include individual therapy, guided self help and/or telephone therapy, for people who are unable to travel or who would prefer therapy to be conducted within their own home. Guided self help means fewer and briefer appointments, with an emphasis on working through workbooks and information leaflets in between sessions. This may be a good option if you are on a limited budget and/or unable to commit to regular weekly sessions.

Changing Minds is led by Dr Diane Foster and Dr Nicole Main, both highly experienced senior consultant clinical psychologists who also work in the NHS. All the therapists who work for Changing Minds are fully qualified and also have significant experience working in NHS Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Services. In line with professional regulations all our therapists hold up to date registration cards and practising certificates with the either Health Professions Council, the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP) and/or the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
