I am a qualified clinical hypnotherapist and psychotherapist, and a member of the National Register of Hypnotherapists and Psychotherapists. A variety of therapeutic techniques that I have trained in, are incorporated into the therapy that I offer, including Clinical Hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), and Mnemo Dynamics Therapy. A number of clients that I work with choose psychotherapy without hypnosis, while others prefer both. I am currently in advanced training, working towards the certification of Msc Applied Integrated Psychotherapy, with Awaken School of Outcome Orientated Therapies.
Some of the qualities that I bring to a session have been described by previous clients as being calming, authentic, and reassuring, gently leading them into a greater awareness and knowledge of themselves. I always aim to create a confidential, safe and caring environment that provides opportunity to resolve issues, generate thoughts and achieve desired outcomes. I work with people from all backgrounds, supporting them through emotional, psychological and habitial issues such as: self-esteem, confidence, anxieties, stress, fears, weight loss, relationships, motivation, business and career direction, driving test nerves, exams, tests and interviews, smoking cessation, addictions, and phobias, as well as other personal obstacles.
I have been involved in the facilitation of personal development within group and one-to-one settings since 1992. As a fully qualified NLP Master Practitioner and certified lifecoach, my passion for self-development has led me to working in a wide range of regeneration and capacity building projects based around self-empowerment, healthy lifestyles, business start-up, and into work.
In previous employment positions of Women's Development Training Manager, and Skills Training Manager, I facilitated Back to Work and Business Start-up training programmes, all of which included empowering participants through the implementation of personal development skills. As a Further & Higher Education teacher I have designed, co-ordinated and delivered a variety of accredited and non-accredited training programmes throughout Greater Manchester.
