About us

Changing Minds is a specialist assessment and therapy service led by two consultant clinical psychologists, both with extensive experience of working in the NHS as well as in private practice. We offer a range of psychological assessments and treatments, as well as expert supervision for therapists who specialise in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.

All our therapists have a minimum of three years post qualification experience working in the NHS, and are fully insured to practice privately. In line with professional regulations, up to date registration cards and practicing certificates are maintained with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP) and/or the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Face to face therapy is offered, with or without a GP referral, from locations throughout Hertfordshire including Watford, Borehamwood and Berkhamsted. We are able to offer flexible appointment times and venues, including evening and weekend appointments. Both partners are registered with the major insurance companies (BUPA, Axa, Aviva, Vitality Health, Cigna and WPA). Together we have experience treating a range of problems, including:

  • Depression
  • Low self esteem
  • Low confidence
  • Anxiety and worry
  • Panic Attacks
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Work Related Stress
  • Relationship problems

Our assessment service includes a discussion of what therapy may be available through the NHS as well as from Changing Minds.
